The requirement is a minimum of eight years old.

Can I come and shoot as a visitor if I am not a member?2024-02-16T13:43:44+02:00

Yes, we charge a visitor’s fee of R250 per person which will give you access to all three ranges, 500 m, handgun, and shotgun, for the duration of the day. All range visitors, be it members or visitors, is required to pay a R20 range fee.

Can I purchase ammunition at the range?2024-02-16T13:42:44+02:00

No ammunition is sold/provided at the range.

Can I purchase food and drinks at the range?2024-02-16T13:47:48+02:00

The range is fully licensed, so you can purchase both snacks, cooldrinks and alcoholic drinks at the range bar, Slagdoppie.

Yes, these can be shot at the range.

Can the club provide me with a firearm and/or ammunition to shoot at the range?2024-02-16T13:42:26+02:00

The club does not provide/sell any firearms and/or ammunition. Each person is responsible for providing their own licensed firearm and ammunition.

No booking is necessary/required. We do however regularly host competitions and associations, so always make sure to check the calendar to be sure the range is available.

Yes, card facilities are available as a payment method.

Do you have frames and targets available at the range?2024-02-16T13:44:20+02:00

Yes, you can hire frames (a refundable R100 deposit is required) and purchase targets at the range.

We do not provide any form of training at the club. Please contact us at [email protected] if you require references to training facilities.

There are two options: please complete the membership application form available here on the website and send the completed form to [email protected]. Alternatively, application forms are available at the range on a Saturday.

If I am a student, can I join as a member at a reduced rate?2024-02-16T13:41:42+02:00

Yes, full-time students must provide proof of registration in order to qualify for the student membership fee of R200 per annum.

Is clay pigeon shooting possible at the range?2024-02-16T13:45:45+02:00

Yes, we offer both competitions and practice sessions in Sporting and Trap and Skeet disciplines. Please visit the calendar for updated information.

The range is only open on a Saturday and some public holidays. Please visit the Calendar page for up to date information on the program for the year.

What are the joining and membership fees?2024-02-16T13:39:11+02:00

We require a once off joining fee of R500. This fee is only applicable to one member if more than one person is joining per family. Membership fees are as follow:

  • R950 per annum (1 April – 31 March) for persons under the age of 65.
  • R350 per annum (1 April – 31 March) for persons over the age of 65.
  • Joining spouses pay 50% of the main member’s annual fees.
  • R200 per annum for junior members ages 8-21 years.
  • R200 per annum for student memberships (full-time students must provide proof of registration every year).
